We were up and ready to start the day at 5:15am for a cruise to Tangalooma Island Resort.
By 8:14am we were at the beach! We swam in the ocean, played at the pool. Ed and Annicakes went off-roading on the sand dunes with a tour group and went sand tobogganing down a sand dune in a wooden plank. Lex and I went to the pool and had ice cream. I had a flavor called hokey pokey which was a New Zealand honey tradition. Yum!
Everyone is sunburnt even though we applied. We had access to the VIP lounge here at the resort, so we got out of the sun for awhile. Right before we headed back to Brisbane, we fed wild dolphins! We fed a dolphin named Tinkerbell. She tail whacked me in the leg. It was so cool watching them swim up from far out in the ocean and wait for the feeding.
This was an incredibly long 14 hr day out of the room. Needless to say we ordered room service and packed for tomorrow's early flight.
